wow what a bad referral from an EX friend

Roger was lazy, uncooperative and apathetic, taking days to communicate and making It obvious that he had very little regard for us. Two incidents in particular stood out thoug. #1 Roger was blatantly unwilling to show us 1 or 2 houses at a time as it was "A bad use of HIS time". Now, if there were dozens of houses priced right in the area we want, we would have no problems waiting to amass a group of listings to see all at once, however that is not the case. It's an aggressive market, where speed is of the essence and only those who act immediately succeed. The final straw involved a house we were particularly interested in that was a short-sale. This time Roger had the audacity to tell us outright that "he's not here to provide free service" and if the short-sale doesn't go through after writing the deal he was going to hold us accountable for 3% of the total home cost (or $9K)! I'm sorry, but this was just bad business for someone in a service based industry–Shame on Roger!

Jolanta Goetter came across as a very aggressive RE agent, but her aggressiveness was just a masking tool for incompetence and lack of knowledge in the most fundamental aspects of Real Estate business, not to mention lack of professional ethics. One doesn't want to be negative, but there is a need for the public to do their due diligence in selecting a competent agent and I hope positive or negative feedback should help in selection between the average below-average agent and the truly professional and competent Realtor. Jolanta Goetter would be rated way bellow the average agent. Obviously, the real estate license does not ensure any level of competence.
