What year did you become a real estate agent?
1993
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have been a Realtor since 1993
What is the average home price in your market?
Our average home price is around $325,000 in the current market.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Williamsburg's real estate market is not a volitile as other markets. This is a stable environment for all price ranges. Yes, it has been slower in 2007, but we are seeing a possitive change.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love helping people achive their goals, however they want them to be. I love houses and I enjoy the final result. HOME OWNERSHIP. It is still the best investment to make.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The hardest part is unrealistic ideas regarding the value of your home for sellers and price shock for the buyers. Times change and you have to study the market and understand value.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I have had many success stories. I think they all are. No seller or buyer is the same and all need to be treated in the manner they wish to be. The first time home buyers deserve the same value as the multi-million dollar seller. Buying and selling property can be daughnting, regardles of the value.
What is your best characteristic?
My best characteristic is my flexibility. I allow the client to direct the speed of motion.
Who or what inspires you the most?
I was originally hired by a great man, Brian Twiddy, in 1993. He took a chance on a young lady with a new family. He is the reason I get to do work with great people everyday and love what I do. I miss him. He passed away in 1995.
What is the best advice you ever received?
The words "I don't know but I will find out." I will not guess the anwer to a question.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right here in Williamsburg. Born and raised here. I have travelled but this is home.
