Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cheryl Talbot. I'm a Realtor with Rose and Womble Realty. Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
It's the challenge of finding the perfect home for the clients I've had the pleasure to represent! Buying a home is the largest investment most people will ever make. The ever changing marketplace and the constant changes in Real Estate Law makes the goal of assisting buyers and sellers a true test to my standard of practice. I thrive on staying ahead of my competitors as it relates to technology, real estate law, negotiations, and knowing what will impact the market values of their homes. The measurement of my success is felt many years after my clients have lived in their homes. They call me to sell their homes only to realize large financial gains over the years. After being in the business for over 16 years, I've seen many walk away with thousands of dollars in profit. This is very rewarding knowing I played a strong part in assisting with their success. I believe their ultimate success is the true measure of my ability as a real estate professional.

What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Staying ahead of the curve. It's critical in today's marketplace to know what individuals are looking for in a real estate professional. With the constant changes in Real Estate law and the ever changing technology platforms, buyers and sellers are demanding more than ever that one person who is willing to step ahead to the crowd. Being on the cutting edge of technology curves and setting myself in the forefront of today's challenging market changes is what will set keep me one step ahead of my competitors.

Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
It was 3:00 pm when I woke up regarding a problem on a home purchase for a first time home buyer. I went to my home office and set my mind to figuring out the problem which resulted in a successful purchase of their first home!!

What is your best characteristic?
I'm determine, focused, with a strong work ethic. I believe in the ability to be whatever you set out in this life to be. It's up to each one of us to see that individual in the mirror and decide for ourselves. There's always a path to be chosen and the one taken. If we set our sights on strong values, we will obtain the strength of character that keeps us steadfast and true in this lifetime.

Who or what inspires you the most?
My Mom...She was gracious, kind, smart, capable, and a teacher. She taught all her adult life while raising five children. I still to this day run into people who knew my mother. Her name was Elsie Lela Tereskerz. She gave me the best that a human being has to offer in wisdom, faith, strenth of character and true determination. Her lessons are with me even though she is gone from this world.

What is the best advice you ever received?
Always look straight into the eye....Always give a firm hand shake...Always return your calls every day no matter what!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I'd be like an eagle soaring above it all...The world is so beautiful and it's creation so awesome, it's hard to say one place over another...I love the mountains and of course, the sea!
