Education is the key I think ! When we understand the options and we know where they lead it somehow puts you back in control. Many people buy or sell a home 1-3 times in there lifetime. As a Realtor who does this everyday Im fully informed of the "what - ifs" that might happen. Not to say I have a crystal ball but I can give you options and help you determine what will be best for your family. Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Hampton Roads is stable area. With a great turn over from our military community. We have been very fortunate to be a city for many who are looking for a 2nd home as well.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
It is a joy to see a completed transaction. I think the most memorable sale was with Mrs Dennis. This client wanted to buy a for sale by owner when the market was really heating up. Sellers were not interested in listing their homes or paying a buyers agent. I was about 1 year in the business and this was something I thought I would not be able to keep together. Im proud to say after negotiating not only a buyers agent fee replacing a roof and fixing home inspection items. We kept the sale together. The stress brought me to tears. Long story short. The seller recognized the value I brought with the ability to reduce the cost of repairs by helping coordinate with great contractors to keep their net from changing anymore, as well as assist with he appraisal and finding the value in the home That one transaction taught me that I matter. The for sale by owner would have cancelled the offer with the buyer had I not been there to help keep a level head and show this could be a win win for both.

What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
I think getting the community to see the value a strong Realtor can bring. We tend to get thought of as people who just make money and dont do anything for it. I for one want my clients to know what I do. A simple demonstration of our REIN contract and knowledge of negotiations can save a buyer or a seller 1,000's of dollars.

Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
The for sale by owner experience I spoke about. To this day 2-19-2009 this is a family who I know loves and appreciates what I did for them. It created the tone for my entire career . I make a difference for my client.

What is your best characteristic?
Creativity, I love media and marketing. Im an excellent at ensuring my clients are well informed. I have to admit , grammar and spelling are not my strong abilities. I make up for it in my out of the box thinking and encouraging my cleints to look over all media

Who or what inspires you the most?
My family inspires me. I do this to give them a better life.

What is the best advice you ever received?
Relax !

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I love Virginia Beach, its a great area with tons to do. I would have to say if I was not in Virginia Beach I would love to live in Santa Cruz. I was born in California and love the west cost . I was only out there from 15-18 but it would be the only other city that could compare with Virginia Beach to me
