What year did you become a real estate agent?
2005
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
Long enough to know you don't win customers with gimmicky Realtor advertising. (2+ years :)
What is the average home price in your market?
This varies widely depending on the neighborhood. A true average in my opinion would be around $150
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Always.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I truly enjoy working with people and helping them achieve the reality of homeownership in a friendly, no-pressure relationship. My clients appreciate my good humor, hard work and dedication to their success.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Honestly, racism. So many people will call and ask for a neighborhood that doesn't have the sort of people they happen not to like. It's a shame really; I don't cater to those people.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
One of the most challenging clients I have had was a young couple, soon to be married, searching for their first home. They had a very limited budget and wanted a home in an area not known for cheap houses. With a lot of work, research and good fortune I was able to find them the perfect house they could afford and we were able to get it under contract very quickly.
What is your best characteristic?
I think I am very humble and with that brings an appreciation for my client, their place at this moment in time and helps me to see things from their perspective to help them quickly develop trust in me as their agent.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My Savior and my wife.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Love your neighbor as yourself.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
The beautiful Roanoke Valley of Virginia.
