Ed is a very creative and thorough real estate agent. He works tirelessly and always keeps his clients up to date with information. He provides excellent advice and sound recommendations regarding both buying and selling property. Ed is also quick to take action in terms of fixing minor things (water leaks, fire alams, hanging new light fixtures, etc) for homes he lists for sale. He is meticulous in terms of taking photographs and putting together electronic advertising brochures for his website and various other real estate listing forums. Ed is a true professional.

I hired Ed to help me purchase my first home in Alexandria, VA in Winter 2010-2011. He was very patient with me and the family members I brought along to help me evaluate prospective properties. I never felt pressured to make specific decisions and Ed always offered unbiased advice on all aspects of the process, from property location to mortgage qualification and beyond. He even stood up for me when my mortgage broker's assistant mixed up and almost had me buying a property for more than the appraisal price. Thanks to Ed, I got exactly what I wanted in a great location at a price that was literally lower than anyone else had ever paid for a similar property in the area. OMG, I couldn't agree with previous reviewers more. I was sent by my Weichert agent down to Mary's office in Fairfax to ask for a rental application (with cashier's check for deposit in hand) and out came Mary from the office, telling me that there was no such thing as a rental application at that office. Being a longtime California realtor myself, I was stunned, what no rental applications available at their real estate office? So, I call my lovely and very professional agent to tell her that I was being told that I could not get a blank rental app to fill out and turn in my down payment by Ms. Egnor. I did not know who this shriveled up woman was, so 45 minutes go by as my agent is calling the broker at Fairfax office and telling her what I've just been told. She tells me to go back in the office and that Mary herself would give me the application. Well, I walk in and the same shriveled up lady (who I now know as Mary Egnor) hands me a blank app and says how sorry she was for the mix up. I couldn't believe that this person would lie about such a trivial and relatively simple act as to hand me a rental app in the first place. I was stunned and embarrassed beyond belief. I told my agent that I was very concerned about this person and that I did not wish to do business with her, esp. after reading all of these unflattering reviews. They have now taken this piece of sh*** t out of the equation, but I am just disgusted at how things took three weeks to process due to her ineptness. TG I don't have to deal with her any further, but like the other reviewer said, RUN DON'T WALK if you see this person. She's bad news.

Hello! I would like to tell you about your real estate agent Oksana Sliney. I was moving from NY and looking for a real estate agent to find a condo for rent in VA. Oksana gave me a listing. I liked one condo and decided to rent it. I signed the lease , paid all nessesary fees. Oksana did not give me any info about local rules. She knew that I'm moving from another state and not familiar with them. When I moved I parked my car on my parking space. Next morning it was towed away. I spent half of the day and $150 to get it back. If she'd told me about parking permits, as well as swimming pool permints and moving fee I would've been prepared. But it never happend. I rate Oksana's job as poor and asked her to reimburse me. On what she refused to do. I ask you to tell her that and if She would like to keep her reputation clean, to reimburse me my expences.

18 months of ignoring us in the TH we rented, when we were lucky. When the lease was over she refused to give a copy of the walkthrough inspection sheet and claims we owe the owner for repairs and maintenance that we already performed. Also says there are months of rent unpaid, but can't tell which months. Gets a lawyer to send "stupid lawyer" letters to us. Run, don't walk, the other way if you see this person.

Ed was fantastic when we worked with him. He always treated us with the highest respect possible. He was always prompt and was able to help us find our new home. Ed always worked hard and never stopped. He was always willing to go the extra mile. He even loaned me his tile saw after we moved in!

If you rent make sure Mary Egnor is not your property manager. Like everyone else has said she is extremely rude and difficult to deal with. Even the smallest issue turns into a nightmare when she is involved. I love the neighborhood we are renting in, however when our lease is up we will definitely not renew if she is our property manager. Another agent helped us find this property and she was extremelyl rude and actually started yelling at him over the phone. If you rent make sure you do not have to deal with her even if you get a good deal.

I chose Ed as a Real-Estate agent while looking twice for a home to purchase in Northern VA/Washington DC. As a first time homebuyer, Ed made me feel comfortable and was always available to answer the many questions I had. Over two different periods of searching for a home, Ed, his staff, and his professional contacts he gave me for other services were all wonderful and I would definitely choose Ed again if I ever need a realtor in the Northern Va area.

I have used Ed on three separate occasions, each with great results. The first two involved the purchase and sale of "flip houses" which I renovated and sold for a profit. Ed was there for me on both sides of the transaction and was particularly creative in getting things done.
