Most horrible unprofessional experience with a pro

Mary Egnor will not return emails unless it suits her or she has never returned a phone from me. Her assistance usually calls back a couple days later. Just an example, I was in Afghanistan for work and she emailed me to ask me if I wanted to extend my lease for another year. When I emailed here about some issue with the rental unit (AC, sliding door, carpet) she never responded. Her assistant then told me that she doesn't respond to email from renters. I was told that would take all day. Only phone calls were answered. Another example, the AC is the rental unit is over 25 years old and goes out regularly several times in the summer. Weichert doesn't consider that an emergency. So when I returned from a business trip on a Friday afternoon, I left a message on the office voice mail. I called back on Monday at which time I was told that they had a 48 hour response time. Meaning that would call me back within 48 hours. I finally got an AC company call me for an appointment on a Wednesday. They finally showed up on a Thursday. The temperature of the apartment was around 99 degrees during the day and not much lower than that at night. I got no understanding from Mary Egnor and she kept telling me that it wasn't her problem and that she was sticking to what was agreed in the contract. I have more of those stories. I don't know how this person still has a job at Weichert but maybe this unprofessionalism permeates the entire company. I can only advise you to stay away from Weichert and Mary Egnor. It's amazing how many people have had similar experiences.

RUN Away from this Crazy Woman...and Company

First review of anything or anybody I have ever written...yes...she is that bad. Mary Egnor, supposed property manager. Will not return phone calls, will not return emails, her office person Ashley is an absolute joke. She referred me to a payment website for paying rent that her company dosen't know the first thing about...then she claims the rent is late! Getting repairs done takes forever. Seems like everything Mary Egnor touches just falls to pieces. And again, her office staff is just as inept. Icing on the cake..when I finally moved out of the apartment she would not come do the walk through. What a joke. I strongly suggest if you want to buy a home or even rent one go find someone else, as well as another company besides Weichert. I could go on and on about my experience...but I will sum up by saying read all the other reviews about Mary and see the pattern. Totally useless

I Join The Chorus of Negative Reviews

OMG, I couldn't agree with previous reviewers more. I was sent by my Weichert agent down to Mary's office in Fairfax to ask for a rental application (with cashier's check for deposit in hand) and out came Mary from the office, telling me that there was no such thing as a rental application at that office. Being a longtime California realtor myself, I was stunned, what no rental applications available at their real estate office? So, I call my lovely and very professional agent to tell her that I was being told that I could not get a blank rental app to fill out and turn in my down payment by Ms. Egnor. I did not know who this shriveled up woman was, so 45 minutes go by as my agent is calling the broker at Fairfax office and telling her what I've just been told. She tells me to go back in the office and that Mary herself would give me the application. Well, I walk in and the same shriveled up lady (who I now know as Mary Egnor) hands me a blank app and says how sorry she was for the mix up. I couldn't believe that this person would lie about such a trivial and relatively simple act as to hand me a rental app in the first place. I was stunned and embarrassed beyond belief. I told my agent that I was very concerned about this person and that I did not wish to do business with her, esp. after reading all of these unflattering reviews. They have now taken this piece of sh*** t out of the equation, but I am just disgusted at how things took three weeks to process due to her ineptness. TG I don't have to deal with her any further, but like the other reviewer said, RUN DON'T WALK if you see this person. She's bad news.

What a terrible property manager

18 months of ignoring us in the TH we rented, when we were lucky. When the lease was over she refused to give a copy of the walkthrough inspection sheet and claims we owe the owner for repairs and maintenance that we already performed. Also says there are months of rent unpaid, but can't tell which months. Gets a lawyer to send "stupid lawyer" letters to us. Run, don't walk, the other way if you see this person.

If you rent make sure Mary Egnor is not your prope

If you rent make sure Mary Egnor is not your property manager. Like everyone else has said she is extremely rude and difficult to deal with. Even the smallest issue turns into a nightmare when she is involved. I love the neighborhood we are renting in, however when our lease is up we will definitely not renew if she is our property manager. Another agent helped us find this property and she was extremelyl rude and actually started yelling at him over the phone. If you rent make sure you do not have to deal with her even if you get a good deal.

Worst Property Management experience!!

I've been renting a property for a year now through Weichert and have had nothing but problems working with them, especially Mary Egnor. She has been extremely rude and unprofessional and I would highly reccommend NOT renting or buying a property through her. I really don’t understand how she is still employed at Weichert? I’ve spoken to corporate and many others in regards to the way she treats people. Mary has been completely unresponsive to maintenance problems along with the rest of the staff and extremely rude once I actually get a hold of her. I went without heat for almost 2 weeks because she didn't respond to my call on the emergency line. Every conversation that I have had with her has been miserable. She seems to believe that a HVAC unit doesn’t need to be replaced until it breaks, even if it’s 40 years old. Basically, you are supposed to wait until you have no heat before you replace it. I really love the TH but the property management experience is not worth it.

Worst property management experience ever

I could tell you how incredibly rude Mary is or how horrible and disrespectful she treated me during my rental experience but being a minority I just chalked it up to racism. The worst part of my experience was the fact that Mary held my deposit "hostage" for FIVE MONTHS after the final inspection. The excuses ranged from "no forwarding address" which was provided on THREE occassions to "it's still in process" etc. If I had to rent a property and deal with this woman again, I'd sooner live in a cardboard box outside of the metro station.






Very rude and unprofessional

I couldn't agree more with the previous review. Mary is extremely rude and unhelpful. We had repairs that took forever. She and her staff would tell us that repair companies had called, but they lied (we caught them in that lie more than once by asking the company). When we moved out (and thank the lord we are done with them), they tried to keep our deposit. I kept har****ing them on it and they finally sent it, but kept some of it. I really don't care, I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with Mary and her staff any more.






Customer service lacking

Mrs. Egnor is the property manager for the home I currently rent. Since our first meeting she has been overall rude and unhelpful. Repair requests take far longer than they should, if they are granted at all. Some repairs that were promised before we moved in over a year ago have yet to be done. If you choose to rent a home that is managed by Weichert please keep a detailed account of all repair requests and communications.
