Buddy and Dale Alter buy a previous house with JoAnn Bogese and would recommend them to other home buyers.
We have used JoAnn Bogese from First Pioneer Realty for the last 30 years as our realtor. We have bought 4 homes using her as our agent. She has saved us thousands of dollars. She went out of town with us over and over to look at homes and NEVER charged us a cent. She is an aggressive realtor and WILL get you the home you want for the price you want. She knows the real estate business like the back of her hand. 4 of our friends used her and all 4 of them got the house they wanted at the price they wanted. She has sold 3 of our homes in less than 2 weeks after it went on the market. We just signed a contract with her on 12-9-09 to sell our home here in Chesterfield so we can move to Gloucester. I would recommend anyone who wants to sell or buy a home to use this woman. She is a go-getter and she can put people in a home that other realtors have said they did't qualify. She goes beyond to get a person their dream home. We will never use anyone else.

My husband and I recently sold our home and Joann represented the buyer. Never have we had a more difficult, unpleasant experience than we had with Joann's involvement in this transaction. A big part of a real estate agent's job is to negotiate and mediate between the buyer and seller, both is which Joann lacked finesse at doing. At one point, Joann threatened to advise her clients to void part of the contract (which couldn't be done anyway, because it was already signed on both sides) because she was tired of negotiating a closing date. In addition, we had to have a rent back agreement that was supposed to be divided into a daily rate based on the buyer's mortgage. Joann instead set it at a daily rate based on 100% financing PLUS nearly 50% extra to make money for her clients. Eventually, things were such a disaster that we had to contact the buyer directly and leave Joann out of it in order to even complete the transaction, and the buyers weren't even aware of her behavior.
