Susan sold me my house 15 years ago. She was painfully honest - she pointed out any flaws in the property I was looking at and went way, way out of her way to make sure that the house met my requirements but didn't exceed my price. She was constantly in contact with me and with the seller when I finally selected the home I wanted. She was also very honest with the sellers and extremely fair with them and with me. I don't know "the story" below but I have to believe there's more to it than shown, because Susan has kept in touch throughout the entire 15 years and has only confirmed my positive opinion of her. She is the agent I plan to work with when I rent and eventually sell the house. (I only stumbled onto this site because I was looking for her new email address.)

Despite low August inventory, Ann was patient with us as we learned the ropes (first-time buyers) and sifted through the options. I have worked for & with many agents over the years....when the opportunity presented itself to work with Susan I jumped on it....I have known of Susan for many years & worked on the other side of transactions from Susan - if I were you I wouldn't take the word of one little man, & yes I do know the 'story'- I can't put my opinion of him on the web or any where else for that matter it would be a little to colorful! call her & find out for your self she is an exceptional agent, ethical, honest, hard working etc. etc.

He did an appraisal for my house and was the worst. Expensive and very inaccurate. For example recorded the wrong amount of bathrooms. When I told him about the mistakes becasue they made the appraisal too low, he agreed they were wrong but refused to correct them.

When Nisha was first recommended to us, from that very start to finish she was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was all over the place in terms of not knowing what I wanted, to just being satisfied with the housing market. Nisha was always very patient. Nisha responds in a timely manner. If she didn’t have the answer right away she would get it for you. At closing she was very helpful in bring out an issue that ended up saving us some money. I went through more than three agents in the DC area during my nine months of shopping for a home. Dorinda Fitt was by far the most professional agent. She was always timely, communicative, thoughtful and realistic. I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy in NoVa. While I ended up purchasing a home in another state, when I was searching in NoVA, she was the best.

Susan represented a buyer who purchased my house in July 2007. Susan was rude, manipulative, and blatantly dishonest throughout the process. She did not keep appointments, and then lied about having "contacted my wife" to change them. She was deceitful throughout the inspection process, attempting to gain money for unnecessary superfluous repairs. She lied about supposed allergies that her clients had that required additional cleaning, which turned out to be completely false. She was rude and combative at every step of the transaction and shrugged off every transgression stating that she and her clients could "do whatever they want." There are many more examples than space allows here, but are detailed fully in the complaint to the NVAR. Bottom line is - Susan Whittenberg is an unethical dishonest rude person who disgraces any profession that requires a license and ethical standards.

Tom has helped us purchase two and rent one house as well as helped several of our friends to purchase houses.
