The last remaining defendant in the Provo Riverbottoms mortgage fraud case has entered a guilty plea. Ron Clarke admitted he used his Realtor access to the Multiple Listing Service to inflate sold prices in the upscale neighborhood by a million dollars each. His participation in the fraud scheme was critical in the plan that netted millions of dollars for the participants. Clarke blamed Brad Kitchen for the plot, just as Kitchen blamed Clarke when he pleaded guilty weeks ago. In a sworn statement, Clarke said that at Kitchen's urging he entered home prices into the real estate industry's Multiple Listing Service at more than $1 million above their fair market value. Clarke said he stopped working with Kitchen after he was asked to enter four homes into the MLS at $4 million each.
