Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
We Realtors, have several different stories...most of us could write a book. The story I love to tell is...I had a client looking for a home in a certain area of town and it had to have massive closet in the master. They knew what they wanted and would not bend in any way. We looked and looked with no luck. Finally, they came to believe the home was not out there...and decided to not purchase any longer. A couple of weeks go by and I found the perfect home for them...but it was in an area they did not want. It was new construction, so I figured they could take the 3 car garage and turn it into the massive closet they desired...and we could have a new garage built in the back. I was so excited...I knew if they would just see this house...they would love it. I called him at work and told him I have found the perfect house. He started laughing and said, "No Cyndi, I found the perfect house," He was on the other line calling me at the same time I was calling him. We were both so excited about this house that we had a hard time talking and deciding who could talk first. It was the same home! We met his wife at the home that night to show her and wrote up the offer at midnight. And...turning the 3 car garage into her closet worked out wonderful! Every woman's dream!
What is your best characteristic?
I listen and treat people as I want to be treated.
Who or what inspires you the most?
I love watching people get excited about their new home.
What is the best advice you ever received?
When I first started real estate, my first phone call was a man wanting a 5 bedroom with 4 baths home in a certain area. There were only 4 available. When I showed them to him...he said he as gone through four Realtors...and not a one took the time to listen to him and actually show him what he requested...except me. From that point on...I listen very carefully to what the client wants and do the best I can to produce it or get them better!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I was born and raised in Houston and am very proud of being a Texan. I can not imagine living anywhere else. I'm here to stay!
