Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love helping people realize their dream of home ownership. I also enjoy helping sellers realize a profit on the good investment they made.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
When buyers or sellers start listening to the news channels, reading the papers, or getting advice from other non Real Estate professionals about what they should expect or be doing in today's market place. It is tough sometimes to convince them that as a Real Estate professional who is working the market I am a better source of information than someone who has never gotten a Real Estate license.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
Recently, I have had the opportunity to help a lot of people avoid foreclosure through short sales. However, one particular seller comes to my mind. She had some major health issues (so much so that she was waiting on an organ transplant). She had lost her job and just about everything else important to her but she was still very concerned about having a foreclosure on her record. I, along with my fabulous staff, was able to help get her home sold as quickly as the bank could get it processed and take this one burden from her. That made me feel like I had made a difference in someone else's life.
What is your best characteristic?
I am a good listener and I can take situations that others have given up on or failed in and find a way to make it work.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Jesus. I have studied a lot of gurus, philosophers and religions and I have much respect for many people who have walked this earth but, in my opinion, Jesus was the most incredible. I wish that I could look and see people the way he did.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Bad company corrupts good morals....and....It’s not always who you know, but how you come to be known.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere with a lot of history and places to explore that is close to an ocean or sea...I love Scuba!
