- Listening and matching people up with the right property or getting theirs sold to the right party brings me great joy. Educating the Buyer or Seller about the process so they can make an excellent decision is paramount to my business.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Negative press that is ongoing about our market. Regardless of the economy, people need homes. Walking through the process is not always easy, but with a group of personnel who assist the clients, it becomes seamless.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- Selling a home to a client who just could not live without a specific home. I advised them not to purchase as I knew them very well, but they felt it was the house and neighborhood they wanted to be in. After six weeks of not moving into this home, they called and asked me to sell it. I was able to sell it within the day to a previous interested party, list and sell his home, sell the home the original owners were in and place them in another home they are in to this day five years later.
- What is your best characteristic?
- Knowing the Dallas area and Texas extremely well, listening to my clients and zero in on what they are actually after.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- Great question. It varies from day to day - my quiet time always provides me with the inspiration I need for the day and the ability to withstand what comes my way.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- I am a list maker - after my first daughter was born I could not seem to get all things accomplished on my list leaving me to feel overwhelmed. I was 24 at the time and my father had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Talking with him about this one day he very gently said to me, "Donna, if you got everything done on your list today, why would you get up tomorrow." As simple as it was at 24 it didn't seem to lessen the turmoil, however, know I realize what true words they are.
