The offer thru my realtor was accepted. Later she said seller would not fix anything. They were negotiating with another offer also. I was puzzled because they had already accepted my offer. I came across the name and phone number of a previous potential buyer (sent by this realtor). He told me that his contract was canceled by the seller the previous day, just one day before closing. I also learned from him about the discrepancy of the square footage of the property. I decided that this was not a good buy because of this. I canceled the contract within the option period. This realtor told my realtor that they would not return the earnest money to me. I had to consult my attorney and found out that the contract that I thought was finalized was actually never executed. The execution date was never entered into the contract. Now I wonder if this is how they intentionally negotiated several offers and misled buyers and wonder if this is legal or ethical.

I currently have a house for sale and Ms. Sheffield set an appointment to view our home did not end up bringing client to set appointment. Did comment to our agent inquiring about whether a agent bonus was offered. Day of appointment she did not cancel when confronted about it she stated that she did in fact come to apppointment when in fact my husband and I were home the entire time and know for a fact nobody showed. I called Ms. Sheffield personally to ask why they didn't cancel and she got very short and rude. Not a professional agent to say the least. Would not show property becasue no agent bonus was offered by seller.
