Randy Smith chose not to buy a home and would not recommend using Varkey .
Comments: "He started speaking rudely and commented that all software engineers always want a best deal. And started telling me that he cannot work for me free. Please understand that I never approached him and asked for this favor or requested to give the 1% commission back to me. I was at work and he started raising his voice and there was point when I’d to hang up the phone since he was not in a position to listen to me. After a minute he calls me back and I was not in a position to pick up the phone. But later finds that he left me terrible voice mail with abuses in his own native language. I’ve saved it for future references. And it leaves a very bad impression for all the realtors. I don’t understand what irked him. May be he always act like this towards his customers! Sometime back he told me that he prefer work with first time home buyers. Now I understand the reason. I feel real estate agents job is not to force his customers for bad house or pay a higher price." Read full review

Comments: "In February, I decided let me start looking a house so by end of March or April if I find a house, I could move without breaking my apartment lease. I spoke to Mr. Johnson about this and he agreed. We started looking actively. I’ve also introduced one of co-worker who was also planning to buy a house. So my co-worker and I used to go with Mr. Johnson. Since it was my first time home buying experience I was very excited and used to search internet and find newly listed house even before Mr. Johnson finds it. I’m not sure whether he liked this or not. But he was always co-operative and used to show me whatever house I’ve short listed. Suddenly after a couple of weeks he started acting weird. I understood that he was not very comfortable with me in the last visit. He asked me to come in my car to visit a couple of houses in Plano. I found that was really awkward. Then I found a house in East Plano (Timber Brook estates) that was listed by his company. Then he became rude" Read full review

Comments: "I work as a software engineer in Dallas, Texas. I’m writing this review because; I’d a terrible terrible experience with him. I thought I should let everyone know the story. I’m even thinking to approach Better Business Bureau, because this should not happen to anyone else. I always dreamt about buying a home. And roughly about one month back I met Mrs. Johnson Varkey at post office. While talking she informed me that her husband is Real Estate Agent. I also told her that my intention to buy a house in next couple of months. We exchanged the phone numbers and after a week later Mr. Johnson Varkey contacted me. I told him that my apartment lease is up to June and I don’t need look immediately. In the meantime, I used to get his calls frequently. He also told me that out of his 3% commission he’ll take just 1%, 1% to his company and the rest 1% to share it with me. I thought this is a good deal." Read full review
