- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I enjoy being a Realtor because I love working with people and overcoming challenges. Real estate is a very precarious business and you have to constantly be on top of trends, changes in laws, and contracts. There is nothing better than seeing the smile on someone's face once they have closed on a new home whether it is their 1st or their 5th, it is an exciting adventure. My goal is to make the process an enjoyable one for my customers and let me worry about the details.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Educating the consumer on today's market. We are in unique times and unfortunately if you watch the news all they report is doom and gloom. Texas has the strongest markets in the United States and have been lucky enough to maintain home values for the most part. If consumers are concerned about their market place they should turn to a local professional to understand what is going on.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I think my favorite client story is the first house I ever sold. This couple lived in Florida and were moving to Round Rock at "some point in the future". I had been talking back and forth with these clients for months when one Friday night I get a phone call from the wife. She tells me they have a flight in the morning and want to look at houses that weekend. We go out Saturday and Sunday afternoon and end up making an offer that Sunday evening with a two week close! They fly back out that evening, we get under contract, and end up closing on time. There were only a few minor issues but I was able to handle everything to ensure we were closed by the time that moving van pulled in. It was an awesome experience getting that couple into their first home.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I think being morally grounded plays a lot in my real estate career. I truly believe that you should treat others as you wish to be treated and that shows in the way I deal with my clients. It doesn't matter how small or big the deal is. All my clients will be treated with respect and will be treated fairly.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- My parents inspire me the most. I am fortunate enough to come from a great Christian family that raised me well. They have been there to support me through everything in life, to teach me right from wrong, and how to communicate effectively with others.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Treat others as you wish to be treated.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- As an Army brat I have lived all over the country. For the past 10 years I have been in Texas and I wouldn't change a thing. Texas is unlike any other place I have lived. I love the warm weather, the hill country, and the people that are here.
