Couldn't Ask for a Better Agent
I worked with Mark for four months back in 2005 searching for my first investment property. I was pretty picky. He never pressured me to buy something that wouldn't be profitable. We sold it this past summer. Mark priced it just right and gave me excellent advice on what to fix up, and what not to, before listing it. Mark's knowledge of real estate, and especially the Austin market, make both buying and selling the house painless. I plan to use Mark's services in future real estate deals.

I called Mark up and he treated me with the respect I deserved. He asked me what I wanted, not what I thought I could get, but what I wanted. I told him I dreamed of owning a home, so I could have my own yard, and my daughter her own room. I told him I didn't want to live north and I didn't want to live too far south. He started looking immediately and in no time emailed several different options. In the mean time, I had taken a drive around Austin and came across a house for sale in a sweet little community. I called Mark right away and asked him to find out the cost. He came back with $87,000. Because of my past experience with REALTORS, I sighed and thought I could never afford that. He said let's go take a look at it, just for kicks, so we did. The house had everything I was looking for and Mark crunched some numbers for me, even though that isn't a part of his job. After talking the seller down and Mark helping me find good financing, I bought the house!
An enjoyable, productive experience
I really enjoyed working with Mark. Not only was he responsive but he was also very knowledgeable. He uses all the tools available to him and is willing to share them with his clients. We set up a weekly schedule for looking at homes and I received automated emails when changes occurred in the area where we bought. We were very pleased with all the referrals he offered us as well as all his advice. For example, he was a great resource for our mortgage broker. We purchased a home that was actually never listed on the FOR SALE lists because it was a rental. Mark followed up with the seller's REALTOR and negotiated a great price for us. We were very pleased with everything all around.
Success with flying colours
Mark has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent REALTOR, I couldn't have done it. Mark made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style. As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighbourhoods, and with little credit history, many REALTORS would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge, and succeeded with flying colours. Mark has always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighbourhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, he was already on to the next issue. He is especially attuned to the needs of young home-buyers, such as budget and location specifications.
