"I worked with Mark for four months back in 2005 searching for my first investment property. I was pretty picky. He never pressured me to buy something that wouldn't be profitable. We sold it this past summer. Mark priced it just right and gave me excellent advice on what to fix up, and what not to, before listing it. Mark's knowledge of real estate, and especially the Austin market, make both buying and selling the house painless. I plan to use Mark's services in future real estate deals."

"Mark help my husband and I buy our first home. We were nervous and unsure, especially since we had a baby on the way. Mark's ability to listen and acknowledge the features that were important to us,eased our fears. He found the things we wanted in our new home and gave us options to make our decision easier. I would recommend Mark to anyone who wants someone real, intelligent, & genuine to navigate them to their future."

"I called Mark up and he treated me with the respect I deserved. He asked me what I wanted, not what I thought I could get, but what I wanted. I told him I dreamed of owning a home, so I could have my own yard, and my daughter her own room. I told him I didn't want to live north and I didn't want to live too far south. He started looking immediately and in no time emailed several different options. In the mean time, I had taken a drive around Austin and came across a house for sale in a sweet little community. I called Mark right away and asked him to find out the cost. He came back with $87,000. Because of my past experience with REALTORS, I sighed and thought I could never afford that. He said let's go take a look at it, just for kicks, so we did. The house had everything I was looking for and Mark crunched some numbers for me, even though that isn't a part of his job. After talking the seller down and Mark helping me find good financing, I bought the house!"

"I really enjoyed working with Mark. Not only was he responsive but he was also very knowledgeable. He uses all the tools available to him and is willing to share them with his clients. We set up a weekly schedule for looking at homes and I received automated emails when changes occurred in the area where we bought. We were very pleased with all the referrals he offered us as well as all his advice. For example, he was a great resource for our mortgage broker. We purchased a home that was actually never listed on the FOR SALE lists because it was a rental. Mark followed up with the seller's REALTOR and negotiated a great price for us. We were very pleased with everything all around."

"Mark has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent REALTOR, I couldn't have done it. Mark made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style.
As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighbourhoods, and with little credit history, many REALTORS would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge, and succeeded with flying colours. Mark has always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighbourhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, he was already on to the next issue.
He is especially attuned to the needs of young home-buyers, such as budget and location specifications."

"I have been buying and selling homes for 38 years- some to live in and some as investments. Mark is the first REALTOR in all those years with the combination of experience, integrity and, most important, intuition to understand my needs. He has the ability sort through available properties or clients as to not waste time on mismatched and fruitless offers. Mark as been my realtor for 4 years. In those years he has ****isted me with sales and purchases of our family home and investment property. He is, bar none, the BEST.
Forever Grateful,
Larry Bucher"
What year did you become a real estate agent?
2007
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
2007 marks my 3rd year as a Realtor.
What is the average home price in your market?
Austin is a dynamic market. There are basic stats on median and average prices, but they can be mis
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The trend in Austin is a basic defiance of the national housing trends. Believe it or not- Austin prices are going up and Sellers are getting nearly full price on every listing.
There is also a trend toward urban density and Green Building. I'm happy to explain both concepts.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
What's not to love? I get to tour homes, analyze numbers and trends, guide people's goals and desires and then be a part of one of the biggest most rewarding experiences in their lives. It's awesome, and I don't take the trust for granted.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Misconceptions. It's unfortunate how ill-conceived some notions about the home buying/selling process are. This is due in large part to the low barriers of entry into this profession. Please know that while there may be a lot of Real Estate Professionals in the area- there are not as many who make the effort to be successful or care enough to have the answers for you. This is what I do; it's a big part of who I am.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
Call me. I could talk your ear off on this subject...
What is your best characteristic?
Ability.
Who or what inspires you the most?
I believe everyone has unique talents that constitute a highest potential, and we should strive to reach it. Once you find a way to do that while helping others and making a living at the same time, well, that just might be the meaning of life.
In addition, recognition is a huge motivator for me. I'm just looking for the next "attaboy" most of the time.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Judge a man by what he does- not what he says.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Austin, TX.
