I am a homeowner in the Maravilla subdivision (Austin) where the developer, Mike Kelly, left a community of unfinished homes before raiding the company & later declaring bankruptcy. Steve Buell (Buell Constructors) & his wife Kara Buell came along & convinced myself & other homeowners to pay him to finish the homes & Kara Buell was to market and sell the homes. Kara & Steve Buell raised $1.2 million from desparate homeowners & never finished one home, before declaring they were out of money. Numerous homes have now foreclosed & people are declaring bankruptcy due to the Buells fraud. Kara Buell was the listing agent on some Maravilla Homes for out of state owners. Rather than attempt to sell the homes, Kara & Steve Buell used the homes as storage sheds (without the homeowners knowledge) to hold materials for other homes they were building in the area. Completely unethical - if not illegal. DO NOT USE KARA BUELL. She & her husband Steve Buell stole $1.2M from homeowners!
