- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I love the thrill of the hunt. The hunt for the perfect home for your buyer, and the hunt for a buyer for a house you have for sale. It's very exciting. I love the paperwork! In real estate there is a lot of it to keep you busy.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Competing against flat rate listing services and MLS listing only services. You have to make sure that your potential clients understand your value and worth. Always give them more than they expect from you.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I had a buyer that I only had to show two homes. They bought the second one. I had a trainer tell me one time that if I listened to what my buyers where asking for, I should only have to show them four houses, five at the most. That's how I know I did a great job for them.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I am quick to say that I don't have a lot of experience. There are agents that have been doing real estate for twenty years, but because of that I think I am more eager than most. Again, I go beyond what a client expects from me.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I am fortunate to live and work in area that is always changing. There are always people moving in and out. I call the Nashville area a melting pot of people and industry and that helps keep real estate somewhat stable.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Never put a buyer in your car to go and look at homes that you don't have a preapproval letter for. Number one if you are showing them a house that is $500,000 and they can only get a $200,000 home, you never find a home in their price range that matches the $500,000 home. Number two, a serious buyer will have their preapproval, a "lookie-loo" just wants to go look at beautiful homes.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- I lived in OrangeBeach, Alabama for five years before I moved back to Nashville. I still consider it to be my home and I am greatfull for the time that I had there and I look forward to one day going back full time.
