When people ask me what I do, I ask them if they know all the stress and work involved with buying or selling a home. They do, of course. Then I tell them that what I do is help people through the minefield of buying or selling a home and make it as easy a process as possible. I like helping people and for 26 years, real estate has been a good fit. It also gives me the flexibility to volunteer as a delivery person for Meals on Wheels, as well as Co-Chair our local chapter.

- Building trust. Realtors have a terrible and I believe in most cases, an undeserved reputation. Breaking past that barrier to get people to trust me is the most challenging issue.

- Finding just the right house or helping sellers out of a tough jam is always a success story. We just had Hurricane Irene. One of my clients posted on Facebook that thanks to me, they were safe in a the great house I found for them. How cool is that?

- My sense of humor.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- People who overcome great obstacles to become successful people. And by successful, I don't mean rich. To reach out to help others, to love animals and children, to treat everyone as though they were very important. That is successful to me.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Don't let your hearing impairment stop you from doing whatever you want to do in life. And not to take anything personally. Everyone has their own issues. Don't make their issues mean something in your day.

- Right in my home in East Goshen.
