What year did you become a real estate agent?
2007
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
2 Years
What is the average home price in your market?
$300,000
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
It was just announced that we are currently in a recession. Although this is bad news, it is still a great time to buy a home. Home prices dropped a little in our area but have not taken as big a hit as other areas through out the country. Interest rates are still low and Congress created a new, temporary tax credit to provide an incentive for first-time homebuyers. The $7500 credit will be available for the purchase of a principal residence on or after April 9, 2008 and before July 1, 2009.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I enjoy being a Realtor because it allows me to work with Buyers and Sellers and really get to know them and their needs. There is nothing like the feeling of knowing you helped someone find or sell a home.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
This is a difficult market for sellers because of price pressures and the abundance of inventory. It is also a difficult time for some buyers because there is anxiety over the economy. I find that a professional has to take the time to listen and to empathize with both buyers and sellers. If you really listen to what people are saying you can help them define their real expectations and then craft strategies to meet those expectations. It all goes back to listening and asking the right questions.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I consider it a success everytime that I work with someone and help them to sell or purchase a home. I have been lucky because when I work with sellers, I make sure the home is priced correctly. This helps the home to sell faster than if it is unrealistically priced and in the end, your clients are thankful!
What is your best characteristic?
Determination, Honesty and Professionalism.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My husband, parents and family inspire me the most. It helps to have people around you that support you and only want the best for you.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Honesty is the best policy. People may not want to hear the truth but it is always better to be honest.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to live somewhere warm and tropical!
