I'm sure that there are people who haven't had issues, in fact the first year I lived there wasn't bad. Yes the floors and walls made it nearly impossible to have anyone over without making everyone around you hate you, and yes the state of place as a whole wasn't great doors were broken, my store looked like it was picked out of a dumpster in 1970, there was always mail all over the place and the free heat was a joke, but for what I was paying these were just minor irritants. In the second and final year that I lived there the ceiling in my bathroom leaked daily, they came to fix it a few times after calling and calling the one time out of many where they came in when no one was home with no notice they threw all of the items from my bathroom on my leather couch including two towels i kept on the floor to soak up the rusty water they could never fix. I told them that I would like to at least know if someone was going to be in my unit if I wasn't home after that, this was ignored. Some kids threw rocks or snowballs at the building breaking the window to my unit and they fixed it with cardboard and duck tape in middle of winter. Lets just say as soon as I could I ran from there, there isn't space to explain how awful things got.

This is by far the worst rental company in pittsburgh. Their apartments are horrible there is no seperation except a few cheap planks of wood. Can literally hear our neighbors go to the bathroom or cough. I had my own home inspection done by someone who works specifically with apartments and ours FAILED MISERABLY. Yet, they refuse to do anything about it. There so much wrong with this place I could write a novel. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT FALL FOR THE LOW PRICES BECAUSE YOU WILL BE MISERABLE!!!!

We're cash buyers, not that John would know because he couldn't be bothered to ask or answer direct questions about listed properties. His properties. Thought maybe we're reading too much into it so we had other investors we're aligned with contact him - they received similar cocky, ignorant responses. I don't have time or patience for this guy. Moving on..

I cannot say enough wonderful things about John. We looked for a house for almost a year, and John was been patient, kind and understanding the whole time. He is ALWAYS available, and we never waited more than 24 hours for a response from him. He's got a great team that is always willing to assist if John isn't available. He's truly gone above and beyond what we ever expected any real estate agent to do.

I disagree completely with the last review. I stayed in a small apartment in Mt Washington about 6 years ago. This was my first place. I had nothing but good experiences with these guys. They were very friendly to me and always came out the next day to complete any maintenance requests. Unlike most rental companies, I got my security deposit back. I will be looking for an apartment this summer and am definitely considering renting from them again.

I dont recommend this PPM Realty to anyone, they are rude and when you pay for you dont get professional service you deserve...

We purchased a 3 bdrm home in Penn Hills through Dave in November 2009. Since then, Dave has always been available, and respondant for even small matters requiring his attention. This is being done out of good will since he is not obligated in any way as a full sign over was complete. All in all, a great guy and very honost.

My agent submitted an offer for me to purchase a house located on Franklin Avenue in Wilkensburgh that is owned by DAVE. Upon making the offer we were told there was an error on the Mulit-Listing & the house was to be listed at $29000 not $19000!! Dave decided to honor the listed price due to legal issues. Dave accepted the offer we made both verbally & by WRITTEN SALES AGREEMENT. Now we are 2 days before closing & find out that he has sold the house to someone else & he did NOT even to inform us. Not that he can even sell the house to someone else once a sales agreement has been signed. He has been threatened the loss of his license & now says that he will HONOR our sales agreement but I have to deal with the people he rented the house to. He informed me that he had rented the house but that it was on a Month to Month basis & that they were given notice & be gone from the house prior to closing. He is now saying that they would be my problem if I want the still want the house!

Mike Netzel was very unethical when selling my home. 1) He didn't present me with offers immediately and some not at all. 2) He talked negative to other agents about me. 3) I presented him with a disclosure of mold and radon, but he still wanted more proof. 4) He actually scratched my name off the contract and had my estranged wife sign off so the deal could go through without my approval. 5) He presented offers by email rather than in person, eventhough I lived 2.5 miles from his office. 6) He got us less than 80% of our appraised value and gave away over $20,000 of our furniture with the offer. =>I would not recommend him to anyone looking to list or buy a home.
