Selling my home

The declining market since last fall made selling my restored, historic home a challenge. Kathleen put it under contract 5 times and each of the first 4 fell out due to the economy/job situation of buyers. Despite this, she worked hard holding many open houses, and broker opens until we at last got a great couple who intially saw it on one of her open houses.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?: I enjoy the challenge of marketing a home and the satisfaction of helping buyers to find the right property.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.: I believe the key to successful marketing is to attract fellow brokers to my listings. I once sold a new listing (10/2008) within the first hour of the first day on the market, for full price, to another broker who received my online ecard of the home and brought her clients to my Broker Open.
What is your best characteristic?: Patience and the ability to listen to my clients.
Who or what inspires you the most?: My personal desire to be the best i can be is what inspores me.
What is the best advice you ever received?: Learn to listen more.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?: A peid de terre in Portland, a small cottage in Ireland, a rustic home in Tuscany and an apartment in Munich.
