- For me, being a real estate agent is being in the people business. I adore meeting new people and seeing their dreams made. My goal is to inform, remove obstacles and advocate for my clients.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- The real estate agents who have compiled the most transactions in their career are not necessarily the most qualified to market homes.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- It's interesting to see consumers in our area evolve to where the rest of the country is in expecting high-quality photography and actual video. The days of snapping photos with a point-and-shoot camera just to "inventory" a home's rooms are over.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I am always seeking out better, more efficient methods to get the job done. Usually that involves employing new technology.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I'm inspired most by successful people in other professions and think of ways to incorporate their methods into my business. I feel like I have more to learn from other industries.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Two people gave me the best advice for my business. First, Karel Murray taught me that if I take care of my clients' first, success will follow. She is absolutely right! Agents who are so focused on their paycheck or transaction closing are apt to do or say something "just to get the deal done." That's dangerous territory. Another friend, Brian Copeland, told me to find a connection with charity. Being involved in giving back is so rewarding and anchors me as a useful member of the community.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Shawnee is where I grew up. I left for about 10 years but chose to come back to establish my family. Shawnee has so much going for it ... the vitality of our employment base, the proximity to major metropolitan areas like Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Dallas, and still a small town atmosphere.
