- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Trying to spread the truth about the great market in central Ohio. The media has worked hard to convince people otherwise. Verifiable positive statistics are sometime no match for opinions.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- The bulk of my business is finding bargain properties for investors. However a nice young couple asked me to find them a home for them to live in. They thought they would have to wait a year before they could have the downpayment needed. I got them into a great bargain-priced home with payments less than they expected, and with over $35k in equity. I told them they could re-sell the home and make a nice bit of profit, but they were happy with the home and the low payments. I could only walk away knowing I did my job.
- What is your best characteristic?
- Bulldoggedness. No quitting - No whining - No excuses. Results are what matters.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- Colonel Sanders. At the age of 65 a highway plowed through his only restaurant. He traveled and slept in is 1946 Ford trying to sell his recipe to other stores. he was told no over 600 times but he never gave up. He eventually became one of the best success stories in America. I think the average person hears the word "no" once or twice and usually gives up. Persistence wins the war every time.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- From my dad: Don't wait to be asked to do the right thing.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Since my business concerns locating bargain properties for clients, I want an area that hold it's value well. As I mentioned before, among the least-riskyest cities to invest in, Columbus, Ohio ranks #2 - just behing Cincinatti, Ohio.
