Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The Northern Dutchess market continues to stay relatively active and selling prices are still holding at 3-7% under asking on average. New listings that are priced fairly are receiving offers quickly. If Northern Dutchess is where you want to live or vacation then why wait? Northern Dutchess continues to buck the trends and the news. Communities here are still in demand for weekend and vacation homes, and I’m still seeing new interest and activity. I'm continuing to receive inquiries from serious buyers and pleased to see this market remain strong. These are smart buyers who have done their homework - they know what type of home and location they want, what similar homes are selling for in the area they seek, they've gotten their mortgage pre-approval if they're financing, and they're making fair offers on their vacation or full-time home.

Each buyer or seller has a unique situation or criteria. Keeps it interesting!

Buyers who haven't done their homework or sellers in denial.
