What year did you become a real estate agent?
2001
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have been licensed in real estate for 6 years.
What is the average home price in your market?
The average home price in the Las Vegas Valley is $330,000.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
We are now seeing the "Manhattanization" of Las Vegas. We are becoming a much more verticle city and building up instead of out.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love working with so many different kinds of people. Listening to their needs and seeing how happy they are when we find the perfect home for them. I love negotiating and challenging myself to find my clients the best home for them at the best price.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
With the prices of homes continually increasing in the Valley, I have had to find more creative ways of allowing people to attain homeownership. By working with the non-profit organizations out here, I have found I am able to help so many individuals and families that thought they could never afford a home out here.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I had a client that had moved here from Northern Nevada and needed a place very quickly and was financially challenged due to some recent family changes. We were able to find the perfect property the first day by listening to her wants and needs and with all the great people I work with, we were able to get her approved and closed in 10 days! It was amazing!
What is your best characteristic?
My personality is my best characteristic. I am motivated, inspiring, always happy, and very empathetic. This makes those around me comfortable and immediately at ease.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My son is my biggest inspiration. He is so optimistic and willing to try new things (except food). He has a "no fear" attitude that always makes me want to try for more. And his energy level is unsurpassed! He makes me keep going!
What is the best advice you ever received?
Thoughts are things...choose the good ones.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
With the exception of Las Vegas, because I've lived here for 8 years and truely do enjoy it, I would move back to the Midwest. There is nothing like Midwest hospitality, cheese, and summer cookouts. Few do it better. My family is all still there and I even with the distance, we are very close. I believe family is everything.
