How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I've been a real estate agent for about four years.
What is the average home price in your market?
The median price in Las Vegas is $300,000.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I enjoy helping people especially if they are in a "crisis" situation such as having to sell or having to relocate... I enjoy being the advocate and handling the details so that they don't have to worry about things. There is nothing better than helping clients find the home of their dreams, helping them make a good deal on it, and seeing their smiles and appreciation when that home is theirs.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
What I don't like is working REALLY hard for someone and having them act as if they resent me making money from their sale. I don't understand it. Even when they don't pay a dime! The commission comes from the seller not the buyer. I've had buyer's act as if they resent it when at closing I get a check. They don't realize that I only get a percentage and that I pay MLS fees, Nevada license fees, Nevada Business License Fees, Continuing Education Fees, Advertising & marketing fees, Desk Fees for my company and all costs associated with helping them find a home.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
When Mr. & Mrs. Clint started looking for their first house, they told me that they knew little about the process. They also stated that it was somewhat frightening. I spent the time with them to make sure they completely understood each part of the process and worked with them to find the exact house they wanted. I worked with them late evenings and long weekend hours. Just five days after they moved into their dream home, they had their first baby boy, named Jonathan.
What is your best characteristic?
Certain characteristics are critical in a good real estate agent. I have a strong sense of integrity; a client can rely on my trustworthiness. I am also Client Focused, Experienced, and Knowledgeable.
Who or what inspires you the most?
I think everyone influences and inspires me in some way. But the main ones are my parents.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Throw out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could live anywhere in the world, it would Las Vegas. I traveled the world; been to so many exciting and incredible towns, cities and countries. We lived here in Vegas for over four year and we love it!
