What year did you become a real estate agent?
2000
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
9 years with Prudential Santa Fe Real Estate. 9 years overseeing 2nd homes.
What is the average home price in your market?
$350K-$400K.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Oshara Village is our self-sustainable community. Built with a Plaza that has activities and gets the community to come out and participate. We are located off Richards Avenue close to the SF Community College.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
Working with people who have a vision of what they want in Santa Fe. Making clients for life!
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
We are experiencing more price reductions in today's market then ever before.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
My client who was 72 years old, had lost her husband six months ago and decided to sell her home. It was a brutal winter when we had 3 ft. of snow, most people were snowed in for 2-3 days! I called her and picked her up and took her to the grocery store, called someone to shovel her driveway/walkway and took her to lunch. In April, we sold her house after that hard winter.
What is your best characteristic?
Patience and knowledge of the real estate market. As a Santa Fe Native, I love the people, culture & New Mexican food!
Who or what inspires you the most?
My parents have always inspired me to be the very best that I can be. I saw my Father work hard all of his life so that we had everything we needed growing up. Now that he has bone cancer and is still with us, I do a lot for my parents, I am there for their doctor visits & Mom and I spend Saturday mornings together having breakfast and shopping, after being home all week with my Father.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Treat people with lots of respect and they will treat you the same.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I grew up in Santa Fe and this is the best place to live. We have a lot of outdoor activities-hiking, mountain biking and our wonderful ski area. We have four seasons. This is my paradise!
