What is the average home price in your market?: $260,000 - $370,000
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?: Every deal has unique challenges, and I love a challenge. It's a great feeling to help someone buy a property and accomplish their goals.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?: Convincing people that now is really a good time to buy. Even qualified buyers are wary of the economic uncertainties, and some are just hunting for foreclosure bargains. I believe in my community and I want buyers to share my optimism about our economic future.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.: The Ruidoso area is a unique mix of wildnerness, luxury tourism resort and a haven for free spirits. The deal I recently closed involved a peculiar piece of land that was in a zone of its own -- not in a subdivision, not within city limits, yet in the middle of town. The questionable legal description on it threatened the buyer's funding, but by working as a team with the bank, the title company, the surveyor and the appraiser, we got it done. Much to the buyer's delight!
What is your best characteristic?: I believe every problem has a solution, and I believe I can find that solution.
Who or what inspires you the most?: Edison's quest to perfect the lightbulb. It reminds me that something can always be done better, that we can always learn from mistakes, and that persistence and vision eventually leads to success.
What is the best advice you ever received?: Relax.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?: I'm there! I love living in Ruidoso. Great climate, great people, lovely scenery, unlimited opportunities.
