David and I have had a slumlord as a previous landlord, so we were leary of new possibilities. However, anything would be worth looking into. After calling and interveiwing most of Albuquerque apartment management companies, the name T.A. Russel kept coming up on signs and even sillier, word of mouth advertising kept pouring in to us.We discussed interveiwing yet another possibility and paying another application fee. We decided to give it a try and within minutes of a friendly call that felt like talking to a relative or good friend( Tims' step daughter, the secretary) we had an appointment set to veiw the apt. we were interested in. Promptly as scheduled Tim showed up all smiles and gave us a grand tour of the apt. He showed the ability to discern through client interaction that the apt was not quite what we needed, and welcomed us to veiw another apt. that better suited our needs as full time students. Graciously we accepted and within Two weeks we were inside our new home!

Mr. Russell and his staff have been managing our property in ABQ for more than 3 years. Since we are out-of-state landlords, it is reassuring to know there is a true professional who is good at keeping both owners and tenants happy. I can heartily recommend this firm!
Curteous Landlord
We have leased a property from TA Russell for nearly a year and over all I am very pleased with the experience. Tim and all who work for him have proven to be kind, curteous, and conscientious. Over time they have continually worked to improve on service calls and other aspects of the tenant/landlord relationship. I would recommend his company and I intend to do more business with him in the future.

Professional, courteous, very nice landlords. Tim Russell bent over backwards to help me out in a bad situation. Took care of "problem" residents in the complex I rented from, making the enviornment a safer place for the rest of us.

dude you guys are crazy tim is a bad ass i rent an apartment from him and hes the best manager ive ever had anytime theres a problem he sends someone over right away to fix it
poor management
since the t.a.russell co. took over as management for the zia tres and zia plaza apartment complexes, the complexes and units have deteriorated greatly. the resident manager has filled the zia tres complex with her family and friends and with dealers, users and abusers. the safety lights on the dark stairs are not replaced - the laundry room has not worked properly in a year, the property is dirty and many of the tenants are scary. today i called the office because i have not been able to get my heat turned on - just a re-light of the pilot, i think but i was informed that they (the office) hadn't been able to get ahold of the resident manager either. so far no call back. all this is so very disturbing because i have been a tenant in the complex for many years and never have we ever had such a lack of oversight or responsiblity on the part of management

T.A. Russell and Co is the worst managment company I have ever dealt with. In the winter months, days after all the snow had melted off steets our stairs were a disaster- ice packed and dangerous. It took 4 days of constant nagging after falling, to have them salt our stairs. The roof leaked and flooded my apt. Again, it took way too long for them to have the lake vacumed up. Also, once I paid my rent by dropping payment in the drop box which was later broken into that night and my check was stolen. They never called to inform me that my identity and credit were at rick, but they did call me 2 weeks later to complain that my payment was late. Thier staff is unprofessional, rude, and neglegent- quintessential slum lords.
