- Helping clients understand the market they are dealing with - bringing the data and analysis that presents a realistic picture of what strategy is required to sell their home at the best possible price - one that the buyer will determine; for buyers, to help them understand that cost is more important than price in finding the perfect home.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I had a family relocating from Connecticut in late summer - the daughter desperately wanted to make the high school Field Hockey team but unless she participated in practices and assessments in late August, she would not be eligible for consideration. With the closing in the middle of September, this was an issue for the parents who realized they were moving their child at a difficult time and were concerned about her transition. My youngest were away at college at the time and with room in the house, I invited the mom and daughter to stay with me for a few weeks until the relocation was complete. She made the team and the family and I have remained friends since. Oh - the unintended result was five referrals to date but although I wouldn't recommend this as a regular practice, the outcome was one that I wouldn't trade for anything.
- What is your best characteristic?
- That regardless of the result, I retain the objectivity and willingness to be honest and act in my client's best interest even when their emotions are high when there are obstacles; I work to have positive relationships with everyone that touches the transaction in order to have the best possible outcome.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- My children - five of them including two sets of twins - now all adults, I am able to see the results of everything that everyone that cared about them did to help them become the people they are today.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- That without valleys there would be no peaks - and life is too short to have the small things have too big an impact. They will not matter years from now or even tomorrow. And - to do what you love.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Wherever family and friends are close enough to spend time together.
