Due to a relocation we had to list our home for sale. After reviewing most Realtors in our area, John Sacktig's name just kept coming up! John was all over te internet with his advertising and his properties! We called John to do a market analysis for our home and to discuss his marketing plan. We were listing our home with John within 15 mnintues of his being here! The marketing plan, advertising and what John does on a personal level is amazing. Our Home was listed and sold within 90 days! Not bad for this market!
Happy Relocation
My husband's job was relocating us from Mass to New Jersey. We were moving with children so it was very important to find a good school system and get the move right the first time. After scouring the internet I found John through an online informational website geared for consumers to ask real estate based questions. He very promptly answered my question of where in New Jersey was the best place to live. Actually he was the first and of course more answers followed by other agents. I phone screened all the great answers and chose John due to his professionalism and vast knowledge of the area. While working with him he truly listened to our wants and needs. Moving out of state made it difficult to find somewhere but John made it so easy. He didn't try to force one area on us and never pushed certain listings on us. He even went and viewed properties before we drove down and after we left to ensure our time was not wasted and we got the best property that worked for our family. He followed us through all the paperwork and once the transaction was completed he even followed up to make sure we were truly satisfied. I have dealt with other real estate agents in the past but none like John. I highly recommend him and plan to use him in the future for any real estate needs. John sells HOMES not houses
I asked for John's help when my house had been on the market for some time thru a well know realty group that apparently focused on seeing limitations instead of possibilities. From the beginning John recognized the craftsman era workmanship, the quality of my remodeling choices and captured this unique charm with beautiful photographs. His approach to marketing the home was widespread and multi-leveled. Serious buyers were found but by then the realty market had started to panic - practically everyone in the East Brunswick area had their homes up for sale. As lending became tighter than it had been in a decade John persevered, taking me all the way by then through what had become a short sale and all the turmoil of emotions that went with it. John was there for me every step of the way, even going far out of his way to get the house closed. Without his knowledge and tenacity my house would still be on the market.

Sold My House - Got it Done.
John sold my "flip" in a bad market. First I rented the property out through John, and then when the time came to list the house for sale, there was no other agent I would think of calling. John listed and sold the property within 90 days of listing the property. I would refer John to anyone that is looking to sell their home and anyone buying a property. You do not meet many agents that know as much as John Sacktig. I am posting this in support of John after he told me about these terrible experience posts by some anonymous person. I feel strongly about John and his integrity and honesty of his busniess. Which is top notch.

Terrible Experience!
Obviously John spends quite a bit of time using this website as free advertising for himself. It is too bad he keeps boosting his own score with those stars, because I feel that people should have access to an accurate realtor review site. I only posted a review of our bad experience because, had I realized what a deceitful agent John is, I would have never used him, and I wanted to give someone else that courtesy. I am certainly not looking for a verbal bashing contest or to berate him. I do not blame him for not selling our house, especially not in this market; however, he knows that he lied to us on more than one occassion, and he did in fact cost us time, energy, and money. The fact that he thinks "honesty and integrity" are his best characteristics is a joke. Now that he has called me crazy and psychotic, I can only respond once again by saying beware of him an find another agent.
Listing Your Home For Sale?
When you list your home for sale, as the seller you need to realize that no agent can dictate the market. When an agent calls to show a house, there is not room for "come back tomorrow", wait 6-8 hours, wait until next weekend. A seller’s particular psychosis is cannot to be forced upon the consumer that will usually make appointments for one day in an area to see homes. Numerous put off's to a buyer become discouraging, Reducing interest in the property by consumers and Realtors alike. Most buyers interested in a property will call an agent for a showing, sometimes days in advance, sometimes within an hour. If you are truly interested in selling your home, you need to be battle ready at all times. To be clear, that means be ready in an instant. If you choose the method of a 24 advance notice, come back tomorrow, next week, then you should be able to deal with the possibility of NOT selling your home as fast as you would like to.
Terrible Experience!
This is a response to John's response to my posting as of 9/09/09. I am NOT a competitor; I am a former client of John's whose valuable time, energy, and money he wasted. If he spent a tiny fraction of effort marketing our house as he obviously spends marketing himself, maybe he would have done a good job. I feel compelled to warn other potential sellers against using him. He lied to us several times. I wonder how much truth there is to all those rave reviews he either solicits or concocts, because our experience was genuine and it was awful.

I called John Sacktig on his listing and he took us to the house and presented our offer to the seller, which was accepted and we bought the house! John handled all parts of our home purchase like honest friend, Not just our Realtor. I had been slow in fillingthis out for John, but I could not let that one bad review spoil a great reputation.

I've moved a lot and worked with many realtors. My Mom was a realtor, so growing up, I saw what it took to provide "service" in the real estate industry. I received one of John's mailings during the economic down-turn. I was planning to move from NJ just as the market was tanking. I needed to either sell or rent my home despite the market. Long story short, I called and immediately hired John. He went WAY above and beyond what was required. He screened all rental applicants and picked the RIGHT renter. When he got the listing, I knew all of the places he advertised and I didn't have to chase him down for information. He even went so far as to meet my mover when I couldn't in order to help me with the moving process. I will always recommend him without hesitation!
Absolute Professional.
John listed and sold my house, twice! Our first offer came in ad the buyer was shaky. We had many offers and John negotiated 18k more then we first had! What a great realtor. John emailed me today after this person posted a nasty review. I could not let that be the last word.

I read the last post on here by that person and John has been asking me for a long tome to go and fill out a review. I do not believe what that person wrote. I bought my condo through John, rented my condo out through John and bought my single family home through John. I have referred him to 4 others people whom have nothing but great reviews about his service and caring of the people and then the real estate deal always second. As someone else here said, John is the BEST realtor on the planet. Period.
Terrible experience!
We would recommend AVOIDING John Sacktig. He was DISHONEST, unreliable, irresponsible, and uncommunictive. He cost us valuable time, money, a lot of hard work, and the house we wanted to buy, all for nothing. Real estate sales were slow this summer, but he made no effort to market our house and never responded to us. We are beyond disappointed; we are disgusted. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away from him.
John said "I WILL Get it Sold" and He Did!
I had my home listed for 6 months last year, when John actually had 2 other listings on my street. John sold BOTH within 3 months and I only got 3 showings! My listing expired and I decided to call John and he said I WILL get this home sold. We had 4 offers within 20 days and closed 60 days after listing all in a BAD market!

We were first time homebuyers so we needed a little extra guidance. John was very patient with us and spent many of weekends looking at some 20 or so houses.
