We lived in just one home for over 25 years so we were definitely "newbies" when deciding who to choose to help us sell. Because of Diane Turton's reputation for service and results, we started off with high expectations and you delivered.
Your thorough evaluation of the local real estate market made us feel that we were fairly pricing our property. Needless to say, we're still shocked at how much the values have plummeted in the past year or so. But, because you spent so much time explaining what was available... what was moving... and what wasn't... we were confident that we made the right choice with both our realtor and the pricing.
You were honest and straightforward with your ****essment and on more than one occasion, gave us a "reality check" that kept us focused on the goal. You encouraged us to remove the emotion from the situation and that advice really helped.
As it turned out, "selling" the house was the easy part! With two offers in just over a week, we thought we were in for an easy time of it. (I have to also acknowledge St. Joseph's role in the real estate business...)
Little did we know that we were going to be facing a tough, frequently unreasonable buyer and a less than stellar home inspection. We've since joked that we could have used the inspection report as a door stop. However, with your guidance, we were able to get the key items cleared up quickly. Thank goodness we had done everything "legally" though the years. It still took many phone calls to your contacts to track down all of the paperwork on the permits, though.
I particularly appreciated your help when we were traveling between New Jersey and Florida every week or two. For a time, it seemed that we were running into potential dead ends everywhere we turned.
Thanks to you and your team at Diane Turton, we were able to close and move on to our dream home in Florida. You even helped us get rid of unneeded furniture and furnishings by donating them to a local charity.
