We rented an apartment through Mr. Jackman. Although he was very personable, we felt comfortable with him, and the apartment building was clean and in reasonable repair, ultimately we are not totally satisfied. Mr. Jackman neglected to inform us that he was selling the building (we found this out when we moved in and discovered a letter under our door from the new landlords). He claimed that the building was quiet, which it most definitely is not -- there are often children playing in the halls, and most families here do not seem to understand that other people do not want to hear their music, TV, or kids. We found some small defects in the apartment upon lease signing which he said would be repaired by our move in, and the repairs were not made. Overall we are not thrilled with how the living situation has turned out compared to how it was represented to us.

I was in the process of relocating from Santa Fe, California to Bedford, NH. Sandra Makmann contacted me via email offering to broker a real estate purchase on my behalf in NH, having moved from Ca herself a few years ago. What resulted was total sham. This woman is a professional liar and a fraud. Unfortunately, it cost me a lot of money to discover this.
