Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
One of my very first sales was to a couple who were relocating to NC from Illinois. The husband had taken a job and the wife was extremely unhappy about the relocation and leaving their home. When we sat down for our initial interview, they indicated the desire to purchase a lake house. We sat and talked for about an hour, I quietly listened and read their body language. We reviewed several properties on the MLS, decided on 3 lake properties, climbed in our vehicles and off we went. After viewing the 3 lake properties, I politely turned and said, "Ok, now we are going to view your new home". As we began driving away from the lake area up a mountain, I looked in my rear view mirror and was quite upset when I saw the wife sitting in the back of my van with tears rolling down her cheeks. At this point we were halfway up a mountain and past the point of no return. After parking in the driveway, I opened the front door. As the husband and I began to look around I noticed the wife missing and quickly located her on the living room floor in front of the fireplace crying her eyes out. I began to apologize profusely when the husband gently pulled me to the side and stated, "you don't understand, this home is identical to the one we are leaving behind." To all of our amazement, we started hugging, crying and went back to the office and quickly put in a full price offer (they did not want to loose the house) which was accepted within 24 hours.
