The average price of a home is in the mid $200's however we are a Lake Community and most people wan
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love the opportunity to meet new people all the time from all types of backgrounds. No day is the same and it is exciting that we are the ones to help them buy or sell one of the largest investments in their portfolio. At least for most of them.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The most challenging issue I face is helping Sellers understand the value of their homes. We are not in 2007 and the value of their home only equal to what a Buyer in 2011 is willing to pay. I also need to teach them that it is better to price it to sell now vs. chasing the market and losing more over the long run.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
We were the 4th agents on the scene for a home that had originally been priced at nearly $4,000,000. It was a stunning waterfront home that also sat on the golf course with a private lagoon in The Point. We got the sellers to reduce it by $900,000 off their last listing price and we sold it for $2,500,000 in 132 days. That was outstanding since there are not a lot of buyers in that price point in this area. We were very pleased.
What is your best characteristic?
Patti and I both have a strong work ethic and will do our utmost for each and every client. Integrity is a core value to both of us.
Who or what inspires you the most?
I am a Jesus follower and I live by the principles in the Bible. I do my best to walk that path each day.
What is the best advice you ever received?
When life knocks you down, get up as quickly as possible and find the gift/lesson in that situation and learn from it. No matter how difficult it was.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right here is Lake Norman in a little cottage on the Lake. Loving life.
