What year did you become a real estate agent?
2004
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
3 years.
What is the average home price in your market?
400,000
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The trend is towards homes between 2000 and 3000 square feet with luxurious appointments, situated on urban style lots.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
Helping people is very rewarding for me. Although my education was in Mechanical Engineering, subsequent work assignments gravitated towards maximizing opportunties to work closely with others on mutual goals. As a Realtor, I can offer my clients the benefit of my training and experience in the business world; but in the end, I am rewarded by the satisfaction of helping them obtain something very personal; a home to enjoy.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
My most challenging issue is finding safe, secure, affordable homes for clients on a fixed income.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
One of my favorite stories involves a family who sold everything in Miami to relocate/start over in Concord, NC.
After spending three days looking at the houses they saw in advertisements, they looked at a home I recommended and fell in love! My suggestions about a different strategy financially, opened the door for them to have both a beautiful house, which has appreciated already; and to have more security financially.
What is your best characteristic?
Honesty. I am extremely honest and sometimes this can throw clients for a loop.
Who or what inspires you the most?
In the real estate world, I am inspired by people who succeed by a win-win attitude.
What is the best advice you ever received?
My father said to "Tell the truth." That was/is good advice.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Actually I have been looking for places to retire to and truely can not find a better place than the Lake Norman area!
