Deplorable
Currently I am renting an apt from bmg. I called them in Dec to come back and close the crawl space door and check to make sure no animals were under the apt. It took 3 mos before anyone came to do anything. Even then they have only put a cement block holding the plywood in place. They didn't check to see if there were animals under the apt, in the walls, etc. Now, I'm hearing scratching in the walls, my dryer hose, and heating vent. They have yet to do anything to deserve the rent that I give them every month- ON TIME. This is ridiculous and aggravating. I am so tempted to start legal action. It will cost around $500 for the wildlife people to come and remove anything that they find. Who believes that bmg should take responsibility for that check?
Do not Rent from BMG
I rented a house from this agency and when I moved in the carpet was disgusting. The previous tenants had 2 large dogs. There were stains that I noticed before I moved in. BMG said they would clean the carpet. They only steamed clean it. It didn't remove the dog piss stains. I only asked for the bedroom carpets be replaced and they wouldn't replace them even after the carpet cleaner company recommended they be replaced. Also, I always had maintenance issues with the air cond. and toilet. They were not fixed. When I notified them of the issues it was a hassle. Dont rent from BMG, you will be taking a risk with your money!

I had nothing but horrible experiences renting from BMG. My air conditioner didnt work almost the entire time I was residing there and when I spoke to Mr. Burgess about it, the only thing his response was "we don't have enough money to replace it so you have to deal with it"

With burgess it was a fight every step of the way. I rented an apartment that was "fixed" enough so that you wouldnt see the problems when looking at the property. It seemed that after a month the bathroom wall was rotted from behind and fell in. I had to fix it myself. My toilet almost fell through the floor. the had my power turned off over a weekend by accident then fought with me because i wanted them to pay for my spoiled food....and when i was finally able to move out...it took them nearly three months of me hounding them before I finally got my deposit back...which was no small feat considering all the "damage" that was done to the apartment
BMG is no good.
I currently rent and apartment that is managed by Pete Burgess of Burgess Management Group(BMG). BMG has exhibited shady business tactics to the point that I will no longer rent from them. Their customer service is also sub-par. I've have 4 maintenance requests that have yet to be taken care of. One of which is a leaking toilet. We are under water restrictions here in Greensboro, yet I can't get anyone to come and fix the toilet. After 6 months of trying, I hired someone to fix it myself. The other requests still haven't been fixed after almost 9 months. For someone that pays rent on time ever month not to be able to get simple maintenance done is ridiculous, and that's why I am in the process of finding somewhere else to live. BMG doesn't deserve mines or anyone else's business.
