What year did you become a real estate agent?
The agent has not answered this question.
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
Four.
What is the average home price in your market?
Around $250,000.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
A lot of people are moving into the area, which is keeping the housing market on a steady increase. New high-end retail stores and hotels are moving into the area as well, which reflects the city's goals of attracting new businesses and becoming a "world class city."
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I enjoy educating buyers and sellers about real estate and helping them through every stage of the transaction.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Dealing with clients who think they know everything but don't, or clients who are unreasonable and difficult every step of the way. The feast or famine part of the business is challenging as well.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
My very first listing was for a family that had adopted several boys from Liberia, and they were also foster parents to special-needs children. So at any given time, there were as many as 9 boys living in this home. They did an amazing job of keeping the house in shape for showings, even though it took over 5 months for the house to sell. But the timing was perfect - they bought 2 new townhomes side-by-side that were ready shortly after closing. Had we sold quickly, they wouldn't have found these ideal new homes.
What is your best characteristic?
I'm very detail oriented and organized.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Other agents who are successful in their business and have maintained their integrity and are still client-focused.
What is the best advice you ever received?
My husband gave me just one word - Finish. It's my new mantra. It helps me stay focused on one task when so many other things are demanding my attention.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I'm a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and I really think this is an ideal place to live. Great weather, convenient to the beach and the mountains, plenty to do. But I also like Maui, although I'm not sure I'd do well "trapped" on an island!
