In response to the Real Estate Agent review of Eileen Nelis: I would like to set the record straight. My wife and I were the opposite parties of this first posting. We have used Eileen in 3 transactions and are very happy with her. We first met Eileen through an open house when we were new to Charlotte. What transpired next was our purchase of a historic property in Wesley Heights. Eileen helped us find the tax related breaks ****ociated with owning a historic property as well as find decorators, contractors & local connections which we still use today. After a couple of years and adding two new children to our family, we were ready to move once again. Again we called Eileen, Eileen helped us stage our house and price our house accordingly to sell. Eileen had an interior decorator give us some tips on painting the interior of house, and we went on vacation to come home to 2 offers on our house. This home turned out to be our best investment! In the interim we were looking for our new home with Eileen. Eileen was very instrumental in getting us into our new house and was able to negotiate the price down on our new home, so that we would have some equity coming into our new home. I would highly recommend Eileen Nelis as a real estate agent in Charlotte, she knows the market better than anyone else!

Luckily, we only had to deal with this joke of an agent from the other side of the table. Eileen was representing the family we purchased a home from. Throughout the entire transaction she was slow to respond to e-mails, neglected to allow us access the property for a re-inspection we were charged for then neglected to admit her fault and fully pay for the inspection fees. She also called our inspector, something she had no business doing, and very unprofessionally threatened to report him for charging a fee for an inspection he couldn't perform. In addition she obviously does not present her clients with the facts. We met the sellers face-to-face long before closing and they seemd like genuinely nice people. Even they mentioned what a production it was to get a hold of her. I would not recommend using her or buying a home she is the listing agent for.
