I fell in love with the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana in 1978. It took me 12 years to move here from my home State of Ohio. I've never looked back or regretted it since our move in 1990. My wife, Karen, and I have been married 27+ years and love Western Montana. We're sure you will too. We have deer, elk, moose, turkeys and black bears for neighbors--even a few people too. I have a wonderful photo of 2 Bighorn sheep rams hanging in my office. I took the photo from 20 feet away and these kinds of opportunities are waiting for you in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana.

- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- Helping people that truly need & appreciate my help. The freedom of self employment is an important thing to me. At this stage of my life, I can't imagine working an 8-5 job again.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- As owner of my company, Realty Executives of Ravalli County, it has become more challenging to provide our agents with the latest in technology & support that they need & deserve to make them more successful. I'm proud of the fact that our agents have maintained a level of production outpacing all our competition since 2000 when I first began tracking the numbers.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- Perhaps one of the more satisfying moments in this profession was after completing a difficult transaction after several failed sale attempts, my client called and wanted phone numbers & addresses for the Board of Realty Regulation, Realty Executives Corporate headquarters & Realty Executives Regional offices. He wrote a very complimentary letter to all the parties telling them what a fine job I had done in representing him through the difficulties of our transaction. Later on, the Regional owner told me it was the first and only time they have ever received a letter complimenting one of their people. Needless to say, I was very pleased & gratified for the compliments my client had put forth about me!
- What is your best characteristic?
- My patience & ability to listen to my clients & hear what they're really saying.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I would have to say my dad. He's been gone now for over 15 years. Growing up & as an adult, he was a fine example for me. When I was a kid, he would always drop everything and go hunting or fishing after work if I asked, no matter how tired he was. He was always rock solid in every aspect of his life & I'd like to think that I have lived up to his expectations in some small part. I know he's been a role model for me throughout my life.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- To stay focused, keep your eye on the ball & if you believe in something strongly enough, don't let anyone discourage you from striving for your goals.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Right where I'm at.
