Cayhill, Hawthorne Place, Hawthorne Place, Iron Horse are some of the new developments at this time.Trends in the past 2 to3 years we have had a buyer’s market.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
Making a difference in someone’s life in your occupation is a very rewarding.

What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
I have to say that working on a custom build job has been the most challenging part of my occupation. Trying to keep the builder on the right tract and the client happy through the several months that it takes to build a home. This can be challenging and stressful for all parties.

Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
There was a lady that I met when selling a home to a friend. She told me that her dream would be to own a home, however, she did not think that was a possibility because she had been married to a man that ran up her credit cards with gambling debts. I told her that she might be surprised. I connected her with a lender that helped her with a credit counselor, negotiated her debt and qualified her for her first home. On the day of the closing, she was crying and so was I. She has called me often to tell me that I changed her life and made her dream come true. There is not a pay check in the world that will make you feel any better.

What is your best characteristic?
I go to work every day and work my real estate carrier like a job and not a hobby.

Who or what inspires you the most?
My broker has been a great inspiration. I have watched him create most of the developments in Warrensburg as well as assisting many people achieve their dream home no matter what price that might be. He has assisted most of the builders in our area in become successful.

What is the best advice you ever received?
My dad always said to me “Be honest, work hard and the money will take care of it’s self”.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I was born and raised in Southeast Missouri in a very small town. When we moved to Warrensburg, MO I found the town to be just the right size and the people were very nice and they all welcomed new comers with open arms. I know most people would not choose Warrensburg for their dream location to live but my husband and I love it here.
