How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have been involved in Real Estate for many years. I spent 4 years in Real Estate Litigation, 6 Ye
What is the average home price in your market?
Average Home price is $185,000. Price homes vary greatly by locations & school districts.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Neutral Earth Tone colors. I can't say this enough.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love meeting new people. Many of my clients have become my friends and I still speak with them many years later. I have clients that have evolved into big extended families. I now help their Moms & Dads, Cousins, Siblings and their friends. I'm considered their "family" agent.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
In today's market it would be convincing sellers to keep prices reasonable. Overpricing in today's market is a killer.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I had a client that was buying her first home. She was a single girl and was very young. She cried at closing. She didn't just sniffle either. I felt terrible.. A year and half later she was married and getting ready to start a family so she sold her condo and bought a home. She made 26k off the sale of her condo. She said it was the best decision she ever made and she was so glad I had talked her out of renting for another year...
What is your best characteristic?
Honesty! Plain and simple. I don't like liars and cheaters and will never compromise my integrity just to make a sale. I would rather be me, than be rich.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Hardworkers... If I have a seller that is doing everything they can to make sure their home is in it's best saleable condition I want to work even harder for them, since I see how what an effort they are making. Sometimes it's a tough motivator if you have a seller that doesn't make any efforts to sell their home.
What is the best advice you ever received?
The agent that sold me my very first home told me if we were serious about the house to make a serious offer. We had two other contracts come in behind ours. We got the house...we didn't even overpay... the sellers appreciated our seriousness. We lived in the house for four years and it was a wonderful first home. I still see that agent sometimes and remember that advice he gave us. I've given it to my clients.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Florida with out a doubt. I love the warm weather and the ocean. Love it...love it...love it!
