"I have purchased man y homes in the past and have had many realtors ****ist me in finding homes. Karelyn Geiger was the most professional and skilled real estate agent I have ever worked with. She makes you feel comfortable with her from the very beginning of the home search all the way through contract signing.
Karelyn's knowledge of the community, home developments and the real estate business made finding my dream home simple and very enjoyable. Finding a new home can be very stressful but Karelyn made my experience truly an amazing one and I recommend her to anyone finding a home in Kansas City."
What year did you become a real estate agent?
2000
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have held my real estate license since 2000. I also have 17 years of Property Management experien
What is the average home price in your market?
$160,000 to $180,000 seems to be our average!
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The Kansas City market is still strong. Although slower than years prior, a well priced and great looking home is always in a seller's market! And for buyers, because sales are a bit slower, there are more homes to choose from. So you can really pick and choose the best home on the market to fit your needs!
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I really take pride in working with our clients. It's so enjoying to match buyers with homes they might like. I have a strong background in architecture and design so it's easy for me to understand why certain plans and styles appeal to our clients. And for our sellers--they receive the benefit of our expert marketing programs! Plus, we aren't afraid of technology. In order to get the maximum exposure for the homes we sell, we have a great website, virtural tours, and try many creative ideas to help get our homes SOLD!
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Overcoming the negative national news stories that frighten many buyers and sellers! Many of the stories and reports are reporting information influenced by the east & west coasts, where inflated property values are finally coming back down to earth. Where as the KC area is a bit more stable-steady or just flat, rather than falling on it's face.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I love being first! So anytime I can help a client buy or sell a home the first day the property is on market is always my FAVORITE! (And usually theirs too!) With buyers, that means knowing them so well that I can monitor the new listings daily for the perfect home and be the first agent to show the property and hopefully bring in a sale before anyone else even gets a chance! With sellers, it means knowing the market like the back of your hand in order to price it right and guide the seller with staging and repairs, so we don't give the first buyers in the door an easy excuse to keep shopping!
What is your best characteristic?
It's always hard to brag about yourself! But I am very patient and try to come from a educational point of view when working with our clients. And because of my design background, I love working new construction and helping clients find and build the home of their dreams. Plus I can help our sellers stage their home to sell quickly!
Who or what inspires you the most?
Making the sale! Making someone happy! Knowing I had a special part of making our client's dreams of home ownership come true! And I am inspired to do almost anything play competitive volleyball! :-)
What is the best advice you ever received?
By living postitively! Thinking and believing the best for ourselves is the key to success. AND you shouldn't let other people dictate what to believe about yourself!!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
So many choices! For city life, Chicago! For fun life, anywhere with a beach and 75 degree weather! But being in KC with my family and friends is just right for me!
