Response to “Worse Potential Landlord - T (Feb 1
Letticia Marie Roff is the author of the previous review and was very upset when I told her that I would not rent my apartment to her. I explained to her that her monthly income was not a sufficient amount of income to cover the rent and utilities on this large unit. I require that no more than 1/3 of the total gross income go to pay rent and utilities. I also require one month’s rent in reserves; she had only about 1/3 of a months rent. She was convinced that she could afford the apartment and called several times to try and convince me to rent to her. I have owned rental property for more than 13 years and have created my guidelines from those years of experience. I understand her frustration, but I stand by my decision.
Worse Potential Landlord
I had seen a rental property for rent online, I was able to call and set up an appt w/ no problem that same day. I turned in the app. the next day, since then I have got the complete run around. I left over 5 messages w/ no return call. A week later I seen the listing for the rental property back up on the internet and emailed Steve to find out what was going on, since I did not receive a "Yes" or "No" answer. He emailed back saying he never received my paperwork. I refaxed the information to him once again. And still to this day I have not received a reply email or phone call, & it has been over 2 weeks since the initial fax. This is the most horrible service I have ever received, especially when it is dealing with a straight yes or no answer. I would be very cautious from renting or buying anything from him, since he does not know how to properly handle this type of business.
