Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The Twin Cities housing market is entering the dog days of summer, and with that comes a bit more stagnant air revolving around new inventory. The 1,637 new listings for the week ending August 1 are 12.2 percent below last year's numbers. Over the past few weeks, pending sales have been flat, but in yearover- year comparisons they are still 20.9 percent above 2008 numbers. Days on Market Until Sale: Dropped by 6.6 percent over last year, from 146 to 137. Inventory is being swept up. Percent of Original List Price: 94 percent. On a steady increase the past few months as is usually the case during the summer months.

What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The problem with this technical approach to finding the bottom of the housing market is that it ignores both demand and supply-side realities. Keeping up with the market and daily trends and understanding the big picture allows us to stay a step ahead of the market.

What is your best characteristic?
ATTITUDE “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
Who or what inspires you the most?
My Family, Friends, Mentors, Coaches, great Colleagues and Clients inspire me every day. It also inspires me to be able to use my talents to help others and lend a helping hand. When you need to Buy or Sell a home it is my mission become an essential part of the entire process everyday - like a good friend - connecting people with the information they need to achieve their goals and to live great lives.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Be Honest And Kind To Others And Be True To Yourself. If They Matter, They Don’t Mind. If They Mind, They Don’t Matter.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I am living the dream right here in Minnesota however I truly enjoy to travel all over the world and It is always nice to come Home.

Troy, After firing my last Realtor who had several dozen showings and never even received an offer from a prospective buyer, I didn't have much confidence especially in todays market that I could sell my property for a price I thought was fair. I was amazed that after listing it with you I had two signed purchase agreements in as many weeks, both with offers I was pleased with. I do have to apologize for my decision to tell the first buyer she couldn't buy my place, I realize that created a bit of a headache for you. I just felt she was arbitrary in her statements and irrational in her demands, and I just don't care to do business with deceitful people. That's why I believe the process of selling the place with you was so seamless, because I think you are an honest, hardworking Joe like myself, characteristics not often found in a salesperson. Your professionalism and coordination of efforts with the buyers Realtors made the process from offer to closing a breeze for me. I will undoubtedly recommend your services to anyone in the market to buy or sell real-estate. Troy is easily the most professional agent I've ever dealt with. He knew his stuff from beginning to end and introduced us to insurance agents and mortgage companies that were great to work with too. He also has great patience. When we saw the house we eventually purchased, I think Troy already knew this was the perfect house for us. But he still didn't push us in any way. He gave us the time we needed to review all the info and understand this was the house for us.

Troy called us on a Friday night notifying us that our dream house had been placed back on the market after a previous buyer fell through, and he subsequently arranged a viewing the very next morning. Within 1 hour of meeting him, Troy was walking us through the papers and processes surrounding a purchase agreement. He could tell we were excited about our FIRST HOME purchase, but also made sure we knew EXACTLY what we were signing and what each sheet of the agreement meant - he took time to anwer all of our questions. The papers were submitted and accepted within hours. Troy called and updated us several times throughout that first day, and every couple days thereafter, always asking if we had questions or concerns. He accompanied me during the home inspection and prepared us for every possibility through closing. His communication, passion and genuine excitement for his clients set him apart from the rest. He is definitely recommended to all of our friends, without question.

Troy was a wonderful mistake. When my husband and I decided to start house hunting for our first home we were lost. We had searched high and low for the perfect starter house and were at our wits end. I finally found the house of my dreams and called the agent listed. She said she couldn't show the house because she was going on vacation, and I wasn't going to wait. She said she would see if anyone else could show the house for her. The next day we met Troy at the home we are now trying to purchase. After meeting with him for only a few minutes we knew this was the realtor we wanted to work with. He has been more helpful, understanding, caring, patient and genuine than we will ever be able to express to him. There is not one friend of ours who has not heard about Troy. All of our friends are newly weds and will all be in the market for a house shortly, and you can bet they will be giving our amazing realtor a call.
