- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I got into real estate because I like dealing with complicated issues and I wanted to help people. But what I've found is really a lot of fun is aggressively negotiating on behalf of my clients. I have been called a "tenacious little pit bull" because I'm not shy about fighting for the best deal and my clients can rest assured that "I have their back"!
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- With so much information available on the internet these days, it is very easy for people to be overwhelmed and suffer from information overload and analysis paralysis. When it comes to real estate decisions, wisdom and understanding are essential in the decision making process, especially in today's complicated marketplace which is wroght with pitfalls, especially when it comes to short sales and foreclosures.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- One on my most memorable clients nicknamed me "The Realtor Extraordinaire". He is a real estate agent but he faced some pretty tough problems in selling his property himself. He hired me because I specialize in selling homes that others could not. I was able to find solutions to all of the complicated issues that had previously prevented the sale. When we closed the deal, he was so relieved, gave me a great big bear hug. I just love that good feeling you get when you overcome many obstacles to help someone!
- What is your best characteristic?
- I'm an analytical, detail-oriented, problem solver who actually enjoys troubleshooting difficult situations. My skill for and fondness of statistical data analysis helps me accurately price homes and advise my buyers.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I hate to say it, but there is quite a bit of misleading or just plain bad real estate information out there. When I encounter it, I am very inspired to set the record straight, explain why it is wrong, bad, or even illegal, and help people find the right solution for them, whether or not I am rewarded for my efforts.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- My grandfather always said, "Don't believe anything you read and only half of what you see." In other words, learn to read between the lines, think for yourself, and don't jump to conclusions because you may not have the full story.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Northern New Zealand because it is so green, clean, and peaceful.
