There are many new developements in my area. One trend is a community with walking trails, community pool, and a sense of neighborhood togetherness.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I enjoy being a Real Estate Agent because it has allowed me to be of service to clients with expertise and knowledge that I have earned through the past 25 years. Ease of showing and establishing rapport helps us all enjoy the process. The joy is at the closing when all parties are happy and looking forward to the future!!
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
In today's market, the declining home prices has made it difficult for some buyers to move on. Due to less buyers in a slow market, many sellers become frustrated. It is my job to encourage them and to think of different ways to market their properties so we can introduce the buyers we need to the property and then, we will get our property sold.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
My latest success story is closing a very difficult "Short Sale". The seller was having difficulty making payments and I did not know this until I got an offer on the property. I had to contact the lender and was informed of the situation. It was then my job to inform the other agent. The buyer really wanted the property and stayed with us through 3 months of working with the lender for the seller. My negotiator was great to work with, but it is a process. When it was all over, she paid me a bonus for working so hard by increasing the pay out to the broker. It was a very hard sale and the buyer and seller accomplished their goal as well.
What is your best characteristic?
I have been told it is my willingness to take the time needed to listen to my clients and then work very hard for them. In hard times, tenancity is what I have been told is one of my best characteristics!!
Who or what inspires you the most?
I do admire other Realtors that I have known for years. The biggest inspiration in my life would be my Dad. He was in sales all his life and he inspired many people. He always worked hard and made friends along the way. Many people respected him and I always heard great stories about him.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Enjoy each day...take the time to smell the roses...praise God, take time with your family and respect others.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I love Minnesota. The four seasons are wonderful. The winter is a little cold, but spring and summer are beautiful and fall is gorgeous too!!
